Full time starting salary £22,037 per annum rising to £27,546 after 12 months service.
Apprentice Grade 4
Full Time / Fixed Term for 18 Months
Apprenticeship Standard: Business Administration Level 3 v
Training Provider: HIT Training

The Immigration Team provides clear, practical advice and guidance to prospective recruits, current employees, and line managers. They help navigate the complexities of employing international staff, offering expert support on visa requirements and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations—making the journey smoother for everyone involved.
Apprenticeship Summary
To learn to provide proactive administrative support in the Central Staff Hub, working as part of a team or on own initiative. You will have the ability to manage your work without needing to refer to others for most of your time.
You will learn to carry out the administrative aspects of the University’s immigration processes for staff. This will include supporting the provision of advice to the University community in managing compliance with sponsor duties, supporting the development of systems and processes to enhance compliance and ensuring that appropriate documentation is obtained and effectively retained.
You will be able to develop a wide range of skills, both technical and administrative, and may also have the opportunity to lead on specific tasks within a team.

- You will act as a first point of contact to provide accurate and timely information and advice to internal and external customers and stakeholders on University processes and procedures relating to immigration compliance for staff, answering queries promptly, providing guidance, documentation and resolving queries from initial contact to resolution.This will include recognising when queries need to be referred elsewhere or escalated.

- A good standard of literacy and numeracy as evidenced by GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) grade 4 or above or equivalent level 2 qualification.
