Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team as a Level 4 Associate Project

Manager Apprentice. This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to develop essential project

management skills while working towards a nationally recognized qualification equivalent to a

Higher National Certificate (HNC). You will support the delivery of projects across the organization,

learning from experienced project professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Coordination

Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects

Support the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation

Help coordinate project activities and ensure tasks are completed on time

Monitor project progress and update project documentation

Assist with risk identification and issue management

Support the preparation of project status reports and presentations

Coordinate project meetings and document minutes and actions

Stakeholder Engagement

Communicate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and updates

Support stakeholder engagement activities and maintain stakeholder registers

Assist in managing stakeholder expectations

Build effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders

Escalate issues and concerns to senior project managers appropriately

Project Administration

Maintain project documentation, filing systems, and shared drives

Update project management tools and software (MS Project, Trello, Jira, etc.)

Track project budgets, timelines, and resource usage

Prepare project reports, dashboards, and presentations

Organize and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and events

Manage project correspondence and communications

Planning & Scheduling

Assist in developing work breakdown structures (WBS)

Help create and maintain project schedules using Gantt charts

Support resource planning and allocation activities

Monitor project milestones and deliverables

Identify dependencies and critical path activities

Update plans based on project progress and changes

Quality & Risk Management

Support quality assurance processes and documentation

Assist in identifying and assessing project risks and issues

Help maintain risk and issue registers

Support the implementation of risk mitigation actions

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards

Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities

Financial Management Support

Assist with budget tracking and forecasting

Process purchase orders and invoices

Monitor project expenditure against budget

Support financial reporting and variance analysis

Help maintain financial records and documentation

Qualifications

Qualifications & Education

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4/A*-C, including English and Mathematics

Eligibility to undertake a Level 4 apprenticeship program

Right to work in the UK

Skills & Attributes

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach

Basic numeracy and analytical skills

IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Willingness to learn and develop professionally

Professional and positive attitude

Desirable Requirements

Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or project support role

Understanding of project management principles and methodologies

Exposure to project management software (MS Project, Asana, Trello, Monday.com)

Experience working in a fast-paced or deadline-driven environment

Interest in obtaining project management certifications (PRINCE2, APM, PMI)

Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
