Salary: From September 2026 - £8.00 per hour – Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. (If 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)

Location: Parkside Residential Care Home, Netherhall Road, Maryport, CA15 6NT

Contract: Apprenticeship

Start Date: From September 2026 onwards

Apprenticeship Duration: Typically 15 months

We have opportunities for Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeships. To work in care is to make a positive difference to someone’s life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges. Adult Support Care Workers need to have the right values and behaviours, developing competences and skills to provide high quality compassionate care and support. They are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives which is at the heart of person-centred care.

Training Provider & Study

Training Provider: To be confirmed

Study Method: A mix of workplace learning, practical training, and independent study.

Off‑the‑Job Training: 20% of your working hours dedicated to structured learning.

This role requires a DBS check. The level of check for this role is - Enhanced DBS Check with an Adults Barred List check.

Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Adults.
