Role Description
As an Area Security Officer (ARO) at G4S, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the location. This full-time, on-site position will be based in Newry. Your responsibilities will include patrolling assigned areas, monitoring security systems, enforcing site-specific regulations, and responding promptly to security incidents. You will also collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to conduct security checks, monitor activities, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution in security-related scenarios.
- Physical fitness/Health to perform patrolling duties and manage emergency situations.
- A Valid SIA Security licence is required, if not must be prepared to attend SIA training course.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Previous experience in security or related fields is an advantage.
- Additional certifications in security training are a plus.
- A Valid Driving Licence is required for full time contracts.
- A Good understanding of the English Language.
