Essential Skills And Experience
Ashurst Reach are recruiting an experienced lawyer with a strong background in securitisation to join a leading legal team on a 6-month contract basis. We are looking for consultant lawyers who can:
- Provide legal advice and support to the CFO Division and other business divisions on a wide range of structured finance matters
- Work closely with the business on the structuring and documentation of asset rotation, capital optimisation, insurance, and structured finance transactions across multiple asset classes, including retail mortgage loans, unsecured personal loans, and commercial banking assets
- Advise on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions including traditional and synthetic securitisations, significant risk transfers (funded and unfunded), CLOs, asset sales, and contracts of insurance
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK (or equivalent commonwealth jurisdiction), with experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house
- A proven track record of advising on complex securitisation transactions across multiple asset classes and structures
- Extensive experience in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of structured finance transactions, including traditional and synthetic securitisations, significant risk transfers (funded and unfunded), CLOs, asset sales, and contracts of insurance
- Ability to monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments in the structured finance space, and to translate these into practical advice
- A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced financial services environment
