The role sits within our UK LLP finance function and would suit a finance professional with experience in accounting and finance and an understanding of the importance of financial reporting, processes and internal controls.

Our Firm

Squire Patton Boggs is one of the world's strongest integrated law firms, committed to providing insight at the point where law, business and government meet. We deliver commercially focused business solutions by combining our legal, lobbying and political capabilities and invaluable connections on the ground to a diverse mix of clients, from long-established leading corporations to emerging businesses, start-up visionaries and sovereign nations.

More than 1,500 lawyers in 45 offices across 20 countries on five continents provide unrivalled access to expertise. In the UK, we have offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London.

The firm is committed to promoting a collaborative and supportive working environment. Embedded by local champions in each of our UK offices, our well-regarded family and carer, wellbeing and workplace culture and development programmes provide a variety of flexible working options to support individuals' life journeys, helping our people pursue their personal and professional goals.

Our Team

Our Finance team in Leeds is a large team providing centralised support for all the UK LLP offices. We take pride in providing a world class service to the firm's internal and external clients.

Our Opportunity

Based in Leeds, this role is responsible for managing the accounting, control and settlement of related-party balances across both our UK LLP and US LLP groups. Acting as the owner of key bridging processes, the role oversees daily inbound and outbound time and cost feeds, ensures accurate billing and accruals, and maintains robust audit trails and controls.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance and regularly liaising with US LLP colleagues, the role also supports monthly and quarterly close activities, including cost-sharing, currency considerations and audit substantiation. This position is well-suited to a detail-focused finance professional who values strong processes and enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-moving international environment.

You

The successful applicant will be currently studying or be a graduate intending to study for a CCAB recognised qualification, ideally with experience working in a finance environment with international reach and an understanding of currency implications.

You will be an effective communicator, with a confident and credible approach to dealing with people. You will have demonstrable financial acumen, and the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team. You will need to be comfortable working at a detailed level with strong communication skills.

You will have an excellent grasp of IT, particularly MS Excel and Outlook, alongside experience or understanding of general ledger packages or legal software (e.g. Aderant). Comprehensive in-house training will be provided.
