We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Financial Management team
Key requirements:
Desirable:
Experience of using computer systems such as Oracle Financials.
Experience in using Microsoft packages.
NHS Experience
Essential:
AAT part-qualified or equivalent, or actively studying towards full AAT qualification, or with significant role experience.
Good Interpersonal and Communication skills especially working well with non-finance colleagues.
Strong analytical skills an eye for detail and accuracy especially using excel spreadsheet and other systems.
Good time management skills working to tight deadlines.
The role is based at Sunderland Royal hospital. The Financial Management team currently work flexibly and work a hybrid model of working, hours are Monday to Friday. You will work within a well-established team, with a focus and enthusiasm for training and further development. Flexible working is supported.
Job description
To provide the necessary support to financial management team to ensure the provision of a high-quality financial advice and business support service to the Division.

- Numerate and IT aware, with good keyboard skills
- Able to undertake initial investigation and resolution of expenditure variances within area of responsibility
- Able to analyse and manipulate large volumes of complex data into meaningful information and produce summaries for review by the Management Accountant
Desirable
- Knowledge of the NHS financial regime and relevant legislation and guidance.
