Join us as an Assistant Management Accountant and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity!
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will report to a Finance Business Partner within the team and will be responsible for delivering a high-quality financial support, advice, and challenge for Fera’s key volume/transactional based operational teams.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will report to a Finance Business Partner within the team and will be responsible for delivering a high-quality financial support, advice, and challenge for Fera’s key volume/transactional based operational teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Finance Business Partners with management of month end accounting processes including preparation of journals, forecasting, variance analysis, costings,
- Preparation and presentation of Management Information and other financial reports.
- Cost Analysis
- Revenue Analysis
- Management of the development of processes and financial analysis reporting to improve the business’s ability to monitor performance.
- Support with financial planning, including annual business plans.
- Support with other areas of the finance team as required, including, but not limited to, accounts receivables, accounts payable, bids, financial governance
- Part-qualified or working towards an accountancy qualification, or qualified by experience. Qualification funding can be supported.
- Good management accounting experience, particularly with volume/transactional revenue
- Experience of working in close partnership with non-financial managers, providing management accounting advice, support and challenge
- Experience of working as part of a team and on own initiative with minimum supervision
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build sound working relationships.
- Use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced).
- Previous experience using Netsuite (Oracle) and/or other finance systems.
- A salary between £30,000 - £37,000 dependent on experience.
