What you need to do to be effective in this role
- Mentor QS cost management colleagues to develop their skills.
- Collaborate with Leeds and Ridge leadership teams.
- Manage clients and pursue new business opportunities.
- Participate in business development forums and sector groups.
- Coordinate cost management across all offices.
- Work independently on assigned tasks.
- Advise on contracts and construction conditions.
- Guide design teams on cost-effective methods and materials to stay within budget.
- Prepare tender documents.
- Oversee project costs during construction and negotiate final accounts.
- Lead client meetings and ensure successful project delivery.
- Expand business through new and repeat projects.
- Manage projects from inception to completion and use.
- Experience leading multiple projects and managing client relationships, including business development
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness
- Relevant project experience, high rise multi room experience is preferable
- RICS-accredited degree or equivalent
- MRICS Chartered status
- Background in commercially focused roles
- Enthusiastic and ambitious
- Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel) and industry-standard software
- Cost X experience preferred
