The Training Employer Authorisation and Review team approve and monitor employers and individuals who train students for the ACA qualification to become Chartered Accountants.
The team also oversees applications for, and the award of, the Audit Qualification to ICAEW members, a status which is needed under the Companies Act 2006 by those who want to sign audit reports as "Responsible Individuals".
The work of the team is very important to the success of ICAEW and is closely controlled by regulation. Life in the team will appeal to those who are very proud of their Chartered Accountant status, who enjoy an educational environment, but love getting out and about meeting and understanding people in practice, business and the public sector.
Overall purpose of this role
To provide a first-class standard of quality assurance to the Education & Training Department's functions in respect of Authorised Training Employers & Principals (ATEs & ATPs).
