Position: Automation Developer
Employment Type: 6 month initial Contract
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Automation Developer to join our team. This role is well suited to an individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment and is passionate about improving business efficiency through technology.
As an Automation Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing automated solutions aimed at reducing manual effort, enhancing operational performance, and streamlining business processes. The successful candidate will leverage existing technologies and explore new capabilities to deliver high-impact automation initiatives. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted consultant in your area of expertise.
Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and optimisation initiatives
Design, build, test, and deploy scalable automated solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements
Translate requirements into technical specifications and develop effective, efficient processes
Participate in all phases of testing, including scenario creation, functional testing, user support, and defect resolution
Provide post-implementation support, including during hypercare and transition to business-as-usual (BAU)
Research emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation
Contribute to ongoing self-development in automation technologies to broaden technical capabilities
Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with company standards
Promote best practices in automation, process design, and continuous improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with business users and digital technology stakeholders
Programming languages: R, Python, HQL
Automation Anywhere (AA360)
Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerShell
Strong analytical background with practical experience in process improvement through technology
Demonstrated success in designing and delivering automated solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
Experience working on global projects or within multinational organisations
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team
Comfortable working outside of defined boundaries and across business areas
Strong stakeholder management and end-user support capabilities
Highly organised and capable of prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
Self-motivated with a high level of personal productivity and initiative
Able to perform under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities
A collaborative mindset, with a strong commitment to helping colleagues and teams succeed
Creative problem-solving skills and experience working within systems or process support environments
