Aviation Product Support Specialist

Location: Southampton, office based

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Purpose of the role;

We are seeking a full-time Aviation Product Support Specialist in our Southampton, UK location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing basic-to-moderately complex product support on Garmin aviation products, to include technical and sales support and other customer service related actions.

Key duties & responsibilities;

Receive, answer and take ownership of customer technical inquiries regarding products, software applications, orders, pricing, and other services offered for Garmin aviation products via telephone, letters and email while maintaining company image
Develop extensive expertise on the specifications, capabilities and operation of all Garmin aviation products within various airspace systems around the world
Provide operational support for Garmin’s aviation products, including detailed support of the full ranges of operation for international in flight use (VFR & IFR)

Provide guidance on regulatory topics concerning various equipment and aircraft operations

Provide aviation database update support for Garmin portable and panel mounted aviation products

Remain current on changes in policies, procedures, and product offerings

Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques and report all issues affecting customer satisfaction

Identify and recommend improvements in Garmin products, documentation, and procedures as well as monitor, document and report failure trends in Garmin equipment

Review special circumstances and authorize warranty service when deemed appropriate

Ensure all customer (OEM) information and Garmin business information is maintained in strict confidence

Provide customer support for Garmin Aviation software applications

Provide support as required in other Aviation sectors.

Support the Aviation Sales team by attending trade shows both domestic and abroad

Other Tasks as assigned by the aviation Management

Education & Experience;

Demonstrate interest in Aviation

Must possess customer service experience

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

Demonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems

Must demonstrate the ability to grasp new concepts quickly

Must demonstrate proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Windows operating systems
