Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer with a background as a Business Intelligence Architect. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical, analytical, communication, and project management skills. They will join our team of data and analytics experts to help organize and leverage our extensive data on work and people, supporting the development of a scalable, distributed data estate and its supporting applications.
The role involves leveraging critical data assets, setting up data pipelines, transforming data, and advancing our data-to-insight capability, helping our data scientists create compelling insights as well as strategic AI applications and agents.
Korn Ferry, AI Strategy and Transformation Team
The job holder will be part of the Korn Ferry AI Strategy and Transformation team, within the Integration Pod. The team supports major business initiatives and transformational change and aims to maximize the value of data, IP, science, and analytics for Korn Ferry, and increasingly in the context of and leveraging AI (using our OpenAI infrastructure).
Our Data
Korn Ferry owns a unique suite of tools to collect, measure, and assess individual, team, and organizational performance. Our data includes individual assessment tools (psychometric assessments, cognitive ability tests, and multi-rater tools), team and organization-level assessments (measuring topics such as team performance, culture, and engagement), and has the world’s most highly regarded pay database on employee pay and benefits, and the world’s largest library of data-driven success profiles.
About This Role
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will ensure we have the necessary data to support clients with analytics by organizing and processing data at scale. Core activities include automating data ingestion from internal and external tools/platforms, identifying and linking individuals across different datasets/platforms for further analytics, creating sophisticated ETL processes using Azure Synapse pipelines, and providing Business Intelligence to establish the breadth, depth, and quality of the data.
From a Business Intelligence perspective, you will help us turn data into insight. This includes creating data models, designing data structures, and ensuring data quality and accessibility to support data analysis and reporting needs. You will help design and implement BI solutions, develop data models, create complex algorithms, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet their needs. You will be highly data conversant, comfortable and happiest in large and complex datasets, and able to quickly make sense of them, identifying strengths, gaps, or issues in the data – managing the quality of our data and understanding it will be perhaps as important as the outputs themselves.
Korn Ferry works with clients worldwide. A strong understanding of local data residency laws and the ability to adapt to this changing landscape is essential. You will need to partner closely with colleagues in security, networking, privacy, and legal to ensure our solutions are robust and compliant. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues in our Digital business to align on data strategy and common solutions.
