Join our Team - Cook with Care at Spire Healthcare
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bank Chef to join our hospitality team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef to work in a rewarding healthcare environment, supporting the wellbeing and recovery of our patients through high quality, nutritious meals.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepared and cook balanced, high-quality meals for patients, staff and visitors in line with dietary requirements and hospital guidelines
- Ensure food is produced to a high standard and presented attractively
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness
- Work flexibly to cover shifts as required including weekends
- Support the wider catering team with stock managerment and kitchen operations
Shift Patterns available: either a 7am - 3pm or 11am - 7pm shift weekdays and long days at weekends 7am - 6pm (Rate Enhancements at weekends)
Who We're Looking For
- Experience of working in a kitchen environment
- Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 essential) Level 3 desirable
- Passion for good food, with a strong understanding of dietary needs and nutrition
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a collaborative team
- A good understanding of health and safety within a kitchen environment
