Bank Pharmacy Technician | Spire St Anthony's | Bank | Hospital Pharmacy Department | Private Hospital | Flexible Working | Sutton

Spire St Anthony's Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy department on a bank flexible working contract, with flexibility to work during the week and a Saturday.

As a key member of the team, you will support the department in the provision of pharmacy services including ordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines.

Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London.

Duties And Responsibilities

To provide an exemplary specialist technical service to support the pharmacy department and other areas of the hospital that stock medicines, working within own level of competence and in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and Spire Healthcare policies and procedures.

  • Monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
  • Participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes
  • Provide general administrative support to the department
  • Contribute to the safe and effective use of medicines, ensuring cost efficiency.

Who We're Looking For

  • A Pharmacy Technician who has the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • GPhC Registered with no restrictions on register
  • Hospital experience is essential - 1 year minimum
  • Experience of working in a pharmaceutical department
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
