Are you an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in your career ?

We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist

to join our multidisciplinary Children’s Community Health Team. In this vital role, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions to children, empowering them and their families to achieve their fullest potential.

As a key member of the team, you’ll work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals, supporting children to develop independence and self-management skills .

Your expertise will help shape personalised care plans and provide holistic, child- centred solutions that truly make a difference .

Base:

You will be based at one of our Surrey-wide office hubs, with the flexibility of hybrid working to support your professional and personal needs.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and collaboratively create personalised treatment plans with children and their families, ensuring clear communication of complex information in an understandable and supportive manner .

Ideal Candidate

Essential

• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered and compliant with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Evidence of Post graduate training/or equivalent experience relevant to speciality such as:
• Child Development
• Specialist courses/ study on conditions that affect child development, autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditions
• Demonstrable post registration experience of working with children in a similar area of paediatric practice.

• Member of BAOT
• Membership of Special Interest Group
• Clinical Educators qualification
• Working in a community setting delivering children’s Occupational Therapy services.
• Demonstrable experience of working in the NHS
