DIMENSIONS OF JOB:
Cross-site working at Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood and Slough Hospitals, to cover bank shifts across 7-day working as and when required.
To work as a bank clinical sonographer delivering a high-quality ultrasound service.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Perform a range of non-obstetric ultrasound examinations (general, gynae, MSK)
Produce high-quality ultrasound reports under the delegation of the lead radiologist for Ultrasound and in accordance with accepted practice and protocols within the Obstetrics Department
Overall responsible for contributing to providing a high-quality and efficient ultrasound service
Maintains the high standards of the department by contributing to individual and team objectives.
Ability to plan and organise as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Be able to reflect on and learn from relevant research evidence, policies and legislation and apply across professional and organisational boundaries.
Must be able to exercise professional self-regulation
Must be able to independently co-ordinate, manage and monitor own work lists.
Excellent communication skills must be able to receive and negotiate complex, sensitive and/or contentious information.
Share complex information with staff and patients in a sensitive manner.
