The RNOH is recruiting for 4 Post CCT fellowship roles in Sarcoma.
These posts will be for 12 months on a fixed term contract - 1 x role starting February 2027 and 3 x roles starting August 2027.
Applicants should have either completed their certificate of specialist training (or equivalent) or be within 6 months of it, and plan to pursue a career in the management of sarcoma or metastatic bone disease.
Main duties of the job
The post CCT Senior Clinical Fellow post will provide exposure to all aspects of the management of patients with bone and soft tissue tumours, and some primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and complex limb reconstruction. There will be ample opportunity to assist and gain experience with the full range of extremity and pelvic surgical cases. Attendance at sarcoma and arthroplasty MDT meetings is expected as well as involvement in the diagnostic pathway for tumour patients. The Fellow will be allocated to one of the four sub teams within the unit and have the opportunity to rotate. It is anticipated that the fellow will be post FRCS (orth) or equivalent and close to CCT or equivalent with a primary interest in the above areas of expertise. They will work closely with all members of the bone tumour and joint reconstruction units and be expected to deliver high quality care.

Essential
- Basic medical qualifications - MBBS or equivalent.
- Several years' experience at registrar level or equivalent in orthopaedics.
- Post FRCS (Tr and Orth) or equivalent
- Close to or post CCT or equivalent
- Interest in Orthopaedic Oncology
- Full GMC registration
Desirable
- Interest in primary and revision arthroplasty surgery
- Interest in end stage limb salvage
- Teaching and supporting junior staff
- Interest in research and quality improvement
- Higher degree in a relevant subject
