Role Purpose

• The Business Analyst role is critical for producing high quality analytical documentation crucial for project activities, not only in defining scope but also in delivering assistance and guidance to business stakeholders across the project's entire lifecycle. The primary goal is the achievement of business objectives for these stakeholders by actively partaking in the successful execution of impactful solutions that drive business benefits.
  
  

Key Deliverables And Accountabilities

Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:

• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, objectives, and constraints.
• Analyse complex business problems and processes, translating them into clear and actionable requirements that align with organisational goals.
  
  

Business Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and enhancement, driving efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation.
• Recommend and implement process improvements, using industry best practices and innovative solutions.
  
  

Solution Design And Documentation

• Develop comprehensive analysis documentation, including use cases and process flows, to guide solution design and development.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, subject matter experts, project managers, and IT teams.
• Communicate effectively, manage expectations, and facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and validate requirements.
  
  

Testing And Quality Assurance

• Define and execute appropriate test strategies, ensuring that all aspects of the solution are thoroughly evaluated against business requirements.
• Collaboration with the project team and users to confirm that the solution meets quality standards before deployment.
  
  

Change Management And User Adoption

• Assist in developing change management approaches to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new systems or processes within the organisation.
  
  

Continuous Learning And Industry Trends

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to business analysis.
• Apply new knowledge to enhance analysis methodologies and drive innovation within the organisation.
  
  

Key Skills

Desired

• Evidence of exposure to the full project lifecycle on multiple projects
• Experience of working on complex projects and transformation programmes involving broad-based business change
  
  

Essential

• Knowledge of industry-standard methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Experience of facilitating workshops with the business, utilising a variety of business analysis methods
• Experience of working under uncertain environments and against tight deadlines
• Experience of producing high quality outputs at various levels and for different audiences

• Professional Analysis qualifications - ISEB / BCS BA Diploma, IIBA CBAP
