Business Analyst – Financial Services

Location: Sheffield (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Business Consulting | Type: Permanent

Translate complex banking challenges into clear, actionable solutions that deliver measurable value.

The Role

Capco is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Business Consulting practice in Sheffield. You will support the delivery of strategic change initiatives across Banking & Payments clients, working at the intersection of business and technology.

You will partner with stakeholders to define requirements, analyse processes, and shape solutions that align to client objectives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale transformation programmes while developing deep Financial Services expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements across Banking & Payments programmes
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to define current and future-state processes
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, process maps, and functional specifications
  • Support impact assessments, gap analysis, and solution design activities
  • Collaborate with project managers, technology teams, and client stakeholders to support successful delivery

  • What We’re Looking For

    • Experience working as a Business Analyst within Financial Services, ideally Banking or Payments
    • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and documentation standards
    • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships across business and technology teams
    • Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
    • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills

    Bonus Points For

    • Experience supporting regulatory, digital, or payments transformation initiatives
    • Exposure to core banking systems, payments platforms, or customer journeys
    • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and user story development
    • Experience conducting data analysis to support business decision-making
    • Relevant certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA, Agile certifications)
