Our client is a leading European manufacturer of fine paper & specialty papers, driving innovation in sustainable packaging and labelling. The company operates internationally, with a strong footprint across Europe and commercial presence in the Americas and Asia.
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate their fine paper business in the UK. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on hunter, combining commercial acumen, technical credibility, and strong relationship-building skills to grow their footprint in paper segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a hunting role within Fine Papers, taking ownership of an established customer portfolio while driving incremental growth in a competitive and mature market.
Candidate Profile
- Background in fine papers, uncoated grades, board, or merchant-facing paper sales is highly relevant.
- Less technical expertise is required however, strong relationship management skills and resilience in a volume-driven, competitive market are essential.
- The individual must be commercially sharp, proactive, and capable of identifying growth opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- The successful candidate must be customer-facing, commercially driven, and comfortable operating within a large, established structure.
Location & Travel
- Based in the UK, with regular travel (approx. 50%) across the assigned region. Remote role.
- Reports directly to the Executive Director Fine Papers and collaborates closely with international colleagues.
