Private Equity Relationship Manager - Insurance

Angove Partners is partnering with a leading insurance Broker in London, seeking a Private Equity Relationship Manager to assist in their ambitious growth strategy.


What is the role?

The role is a Relationship Manager to act as a strategic partner to Private Equity clients, owning relationships across funds and their portfolio companies. The role focuses on deep discovery, structured account planning, and proactive engagement to anticipate client needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions


What will you be doing?

  • Research PE fund strategies, market trends, and deal flow.
  • Track fund and PortCo activity (e.g. acquisitions, exits, restructurings) to anticipate insurance needs.
  • Build and maintain bespoke annual account plans for each fund, covering coverage strategy, risk pipeline, claims, KPIs, and renewals.
  • Act as primary relationship owner and internal advocate for assigned PE funds.
  • Initiate new relationships and expand existing ones.
  • Collaborate with IDD and PortCo Project Managers on M&A transactions and placements.
  • Strengthen relationships across P&Ls, Specialty lines, and global offices.

  • What do you need to apply to this role?

    • At least 8 years' experience in Insurance, Banking, Funds or Law, with demonstrated sales success.
    • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing.
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
