Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll work across developers, housebuilders, infrastructure owners, ecology consultancies, local planning authorities, and water utilities to build pipeline, open doors with key decision-makers, and generate qualified introductory meetings across our target markets.
This is a high impact role suited to someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, is comfortable using automation and software tools to work at scale, and enjoys seeing the direct commercial results of their efforts. You'll play a key part in shaping how the BD function operates within the BNGAI team, with real scope to grow as the business scales.
How you'll make an impact:

Research accounts, contacts, and industry developments to personalize messaging and identify the most relevant entry points into each organization
Leverage automation tools, AI assisted outreach platforms, and sales engagement software to maximize efficiency and scale prospecting efforts without sacrificing personalization
Qualify prospects by understanding their business priorities, environmental compliance obligations, and fit for BNGAI's solutions before booking meetings for Account Executives
Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, lead, and opportunity data in Salesforce to support pipeline reporting, follow up, and CRM hygiene
Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and Account Executives on target account lists, campaign messaging, and follow-up strategies
Represent BNGAI at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events across the environmental, planning, and development sectors
Track performance metrics, analyze results, and continuously refine your approach to improve conversion rates and outreach effectiveness
What we're looking for:
1+ year of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or a similar outbound-focused role, ideally in B2B SaaS, technology, or professional services
Demonstrated ability to prospect through phone, email, and LinkedIn with strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), sales engagement tools (e.g. Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Experience with or strong enthusiasm for using automation, AI tools, and software to streamline and scale outbound workflows
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of outreach and follow-up activities
A self starter mentality with resilience, coachability, and a genuine drive to succeed
Ability to learn complex products quickly and translate technical value propositions into relevant, engaging conversations
What you'll love:
Competitive base salary plus performance based variable compensation
Scope to shape and define the BD function within the BNGAI team, with clear pathways for career progression.
Direct exposure to enterprise sales cycles, senior decision makers, and complex deal structures
A product that genuinely makes a difference, helping organizations meet their biodiversity and environmental obligations through technology
Hybrid working arrangement with a central London office
Generous pension contribution scheme
Tools you'll leverage:
Salesforce (CRM)
Apollo.io and sales engagement platforms
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
AI-assisted prospecting and email personalization tools
Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Microsoft Teams and collaboration tools
Location and work model:
