An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Nottinghamshire County Council within the Fostering Service for a permanent Business Support Administrator supporting the panel co-ordinator team.

The Business Support team is busy and the work is fast paced but ultimately rewarding as you are part of the team finding best outcomes for our children and families. You need to be aware that this post will require DBS check in line with regulations for fostering services.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic colleague who is committed to helping us support this important service, co-ordinating 3 panels and up to 15 cases per month.

The nominal base for this post is County Hall in West Bridgford, however, as we operate hybrid working there will also be opportunity for you to work from home. When supporting panels these will be held in person at our office in Daybrook, Arnold.

Full training will be provided either face to face or via MS Teams, however initial inductions will be face to face.

You will be confident, motivated, enthusiastic and possess the following:

  • Proven administrative experience with excellent IT skills, highly competent in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships
  • A keen understanding of GDPR
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, but also work on own initiative when required
  • The ability to organise and prioritise work effectively, be flexible and meet deadlines
  • The ability to organise meetings and take clear and accurate minutes along with other associated tasks

You will be expected to work Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday in support of the panels
