Clayfields House is a nationally recognised centre of excellence. We are a twenty bed Secure Children's Home providing secure accommodation for young people aged between 10 - 18 who may be here for welfare reasons or who are placed through the Youth Justice system, either on remand or sentenced. We are looking for an individual with excellent customer care, organisational and word processing skills to join our dynamic and dedicated team working in a busy office. You will be required to undertake a range of administration duties including young people’s administration, organisation and minuting of meetings; to work to defined business standards and processes; performing a wide range of business support tasks with due regard to confidentiality and safeguarding as well as some reception cover.
You will ideally have experience of providing business support in a busy environment and possess good literacy and numeracy skills to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
This post is a temporary maternity cover initially for 12 months but could potentially lead to a permanent post. You will have a minimum of two years’ administrative experience and have dealt with both clients and staff courteously and professionally. You will be highly proficient in IT skills especially in word processing and familiar with Microsoft Word. Experience with Microsoft Access databases would also be an advantage but not essential.
If you feel you have the necessary skills to join our team and would like to have an informal discussion, please contact Rachel Platt on 0115 917 0010.
This post is also available as a secondment opportunity to existing Nottinghamshire County Council employees. You must seek approval from your line manager before applying.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
