A confident, motivated and enthusiastic person is required to supervise and co-ordinate the work of a number of business support staff based in the middle/south of the County. You will be one of a team of seven Business Support Officers managing the Business Support Service who work with staff in the Adult Social Care and Health Department.

It is essential that you possess advanced ICT skills and has the ability to analyse, streamline and transform processes and work methods. You should be capable of demonstrating leadership, managing change and contribute to the planning and delivery of business support.

Duties will include the recruitment, deployment, supervision and day to day management of staff, target setting and quality assurance of outputs as well as overseeing budgets, administrative processes, health and safety and the general operation of the office. Positive problem solving and conflict resolution skills are essential and at least 2 years admin/clerical experience, preferably in a supervisory and staff development role. You must be able to respond well to pressure, meet deadlines, and have the ability to adhere to and implement policies and procedures.

Nottinghamshire County Council offers hybrid working and there is the expectation that the postholder will be required to go into the office on a regular basis. You will be required to travel on occasions to various locations across the county to attend meetings/undertake your duties.
