Description

Business Systems Lead | 40 hours | Leeds

Shape the Digital Future of Urgent & Primary Care

OneMedical Group is seeking an experienced Business Systems Lead to drive the optimisation, security and strategic development of our clinical and operational systems across Urgent and Primary Care services.

This is a senior leadership opportunity to:

  • Influence Executive decision-making
  • Lead digital transformation across multiple services
  • Act as the Group’s Information Governance Lead & Data Protection Officer
  • Ensure our systems are secure, compliant, and enabling growth

If you have deep clinical systems expertise and thrive at the intersection of digital transformation, cyber security and governance, we would like to hear from you.

The Role

This role offers the rare opportunity to combine:

  • Clinical systems leadership
  • Information governance strategy
  • Cyber security oversight
  • AI governance in healthcare

All within a progressive and supportive leadership environment.

You will take ownership of two critical areas:

Clinical Systems Leadership

You will:

  • Act as Group Administrator for SystmOne, EMIS, Vision, eConsult, Accurx and PATCHS
  • Lead system optimisation, upgrades and mobilisation projects
  • Oversee system configuration, training, testing and go-live support
  • Enable high-quality data extraction and reporting to support contractual performance
  • You will ensure systems are not just operational — but fully embedded, standardised and delivering measurable value.

Information Governance & Data Protection

As our Information Governance Lead and Data Protection Officer (DPO), you will:

  • Lead GDPR compliance and provide expert advice to the Executive Team
  • Oversee Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission and cyber security readiness
  • Lead on Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) for new projects and service changes
  • Manage SARs, data breach processes and IG policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards
  • Deliver IG and data protection training across the organisation
  • You will create a culture where data security and governance are proactive, not reactive.

About You

You will bring:

  • Significant NHS experience (essential)
  • Strong clinical systems expertise (SystmOne / EMIS / Vision)
  • Demonstrable cyber security and IG leadership experience
  • Experience completing DSPT and managing GDPR compliance
  • Knowledge of DCB0129 / DCB0160 clinical risk standards
  • Experience leading digital change projects end-to-end
  • Confidence advising at senior leadership level

Desirable:

  • Experience acting as Data Protection Officer
  • Understanding of AI use and governance within healthcare systems
  • Experience in urgent care or primary care environments

Interview Dates

We are planning to hold interviews on 12th and 13th March.

Candidates who apply are kindly asked to reserve these dates, as alternative dates may not be available.

Location

Our head office is based at Bank Top Support Centre, just outside Leeds (LS21 1PY). Surrounded by open fields and scenic walking routes, we’re minutes from Golden Acre Park — a great spot to take a breather.

Right to work in the UK: Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.

What We Offer

  • Senior strategic influence within a growing healthcare group
  • Autonomy to shape and modernise our digital estate
  • Executive visibility and impact
  • Opportunity to lead digital innovation across urgent and primary care
  • Support for professional development
  • Competitive salary (£50,000 - £54,000 per annum dependent on experience)
  • A supportive, collaborative team culture
  • 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), rising with length of service
  • An extra day of leave for your work anniversary
  • Participation in OMG’s Refer a Friend scheme
