Description
Set in the heart of the vibrant Ouseburn creative quarter of Newcastle, Northern Print exists to enable and promote the accessible artform of printmaking in its many forms. We are a community of artist members, learners, local groups, and recreational users. We host regular training, classes, and exhibitions.

We are looking for people to join our team of trustees. Past experience as a trustee is not important to us – we are looking for people who can contribute to our mission and share our belief in the positive role art can play in people’s lives: improving wellbeing; developing new skills; and strengthening communities.

Are you up for a challenge and an opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge?

We have recently said goodbye to several valued and long-serving trustees, and we would like new trustees to join us and help us develop our future plans. Next year we will be developing our application for Arts Council England funding for 2028–31. It is no secret that the arts face a challenging time in raising funding to support activity, but Northern Print has a 30-year history of great impact and solid financial performance, backed up by clear risk management by the trustees. You might be able to help us develop new activities and funding streams or work with new groups of users.

We already have trustees with skills and knowledge in finance and the law, but we are not being prescriptive about what other experience we are looking for. Northern Print
wants to strengthen and diversify its Board with the appointment of a number of new trustees with a wide range of skills and lived and/or professional experience.
