Description

We are currently recruiting for experienced CAMHS Therapeutic Practitioners and CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Practitioners to join community-based teams delivering high-quality care to children and young people.


CAMHS Therapeutic Practitioners

You will hold a small caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions within a community CAMHS setting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Completing CAMHS assessments
  • Delivering CBT/DBT-informed therapeutic interventions
  • Managing a defined caseload of young people
  • Working fully on-site within a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Strong experience within community CAMHS services
  • Practical experience using CBT and/or DBT models (qualification not essential)
  • Proven ability to manage caseloads and complete assessments

Please note: Candidates with inpatient or crisis CAMHS-only experience are not suitable for these roles.


CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Practitioners

You will support the assessment and management of children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing a waiting list of complex ADHD and Autism cases
  • Conducting face-to-face clinical assessments
  • Formulating complex presentations
  • Working autonomously while contributing to MDT discussions
  • Supporting risk management and care planning

Requirements:

  • Experience within CAMHS community neurodevelopmental services
  • Strong background in ADHD and ASD assessments
  • ADOS training/qualification is desirable



Essential Criteria (All Roles)

Applicants must hold a recognised core profession, such as:

  • Mental Health Nurse
  • Learning Disability Nurse (with CAMHS experience)
  • Social Worker (with CAMHS experience)
  • Occupational Therapist (with relevant CAMHS/therapeutic experience)

  • Candidate Profile

    We are looking for experienced CAMHS professionals with a strong community background, who are confident working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.


    Working patterns can be flexible where required (for example Tuesday to Friday), although a Monday to Thursday schedule is preferred. Accommodation support is also available via a trusted local provider, with options in the Wrexham and Flintshire areas typically available at competitive nightly rates.
