NHS Lanarkshire Cancer Nursing Service are seeking applications for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join their Gynaecology, Head and Neck, Urology and colorectal Cancer Specialist Nursing teams as a cancer care navigator’s. Individuals who are committed to providing person centred care with a personal commitment to continuing professional development are welcomed to apply.
The role of the Cancer Care Navigator is a key member of the CNS team contributing to person-centred support throughout their pathways. Assisting to manage the increased uncertainty and anxiety associated with a cancer diagnosis, treatment and surveillance. The CNS team provides services across NHS Lanarkshire, delivering comprehensive person centred cancer care. In addition, the cancer care navigator as an integral member of the CNS team acts as the single point of contact for people affected by cancer facilitating patient and family support in partnership with third sector and local authority services.
