A vacancy has arisen for a Cardiac Catheter Lab Manager within the Cardiac Catheter Labs at the Essex CTC and Mid and South Essex Hospitals which includes the main Basildon hospital site, Southend Hospital and Broomfield hospital. Applicants should be either an experienced Nurse, Cardiac Physiologist or Radiographer with at least 5 years cardiac cath lab and cardiology experience at a senior level.
This role provides senior operational leadership for the cardiac catheter laboratories and associated day stay areas across the Trust, combining unitlevel management with advanced clinical and professional expertise. The post holder is responsible for the safe, efficient and highquality delivery of all catheter lab services, ensuring effective scheduling, optimal use of resources and a consistently positive patient experience. Working in a fastpaced and evolving environment, the role requires a proactive and forwardthinking leader who can drive service improvement, strengthen pathways and support staff through change. The post holder will oversee performance, quality, governance and workforce management, using data and audit to inform decisions and implement sustainable improvements in patient flow and access. They will work collaboratively with senior management, clinical leads, matrons and multidisciplinary teams across all MSE sites to ensure cohesive service delivery, robust communication and alignment with Trust priorities. The role also includes responsibility for procurement, stock management and capital planning for catheter lab equipment, ensuring services remain safe, modern and fit for purpose.
