Role Description This Term-Time Only Catering Manager role is based on-site in SERC College in Lisburn on a 40 hour weekly conteact.
The Catering Manager oversees daily food service operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings, excellent customer service, and compliance with health and safety standards. Responsibilities include planning menus, coordinating catering events, managing kitchen and front-of-house teams, and monitoring stock, budgets, and supplier relationships. The role also involves training and scheduling staff, maintaining operational efficiencies, and working closely with clients to tailor catering solutions to their needs. The Catering Manager is expected to lead by example, uphold company standards, and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Food Service and Catering, including experience managing catering operations or events.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships and respond effectively to feedback.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cooking and Food & Beverage operations, including food safety, hygiene, and quality control.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities, including staff training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with experience managing budgets, inventory, and suppliers.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Previous experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar supervisory role within hospitality or food service is highly beneficial.
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality, catering, or food service management are an advantage.
