As a Relief Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the effective operation of the kitchen, supervising staff, and ensuring the preparation and delivery of meals that meet residents’ nutritional needs, dignity, and personal preferences, while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
🌼 Your Role Will Involve:
🍲 Supervising kitchen staff and supporting day‑to‑day kitchen operations
📋 Preparing and cooking meals in line with planned menus and individual dietary requirements
🍽️ Ensuring meals are served to high standards with correct portion control
📦 Monitoring stock levels, carrying out stock takes, and checking deliveries
🧼 Maintaining cleanliness, security, and safety of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
🦺 Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations at all times
🤝 Working closely with the Service Manager, Deputy Manager, and wider team to support service users’ wellbeing
This role is essential in maintaining a safe, well‑organised, and welcoming dining experience for residents.
