Change Analyst


Salary: c. £45,000


Hours: 35 hours per week


Contract: Permanent


Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)

Reporting to Integration and Servicing Lead, the Change Analyst will play a fundamental role in our ability to effectively deliver small/tactical change for the Society as a whole. The role will form part of a newly created small change team which is dedicated to deliver change at pace in the most efficient and effective way possible.


The Change Analyst will be primarily responsible for analysing new small change idea’s being proposed, producing project related documentation, work with stakeholders and sponsors to obtain relevant approvals, work with stakeholders and SME’s to design and create new or improved processes and provide oversight of project related activities alongside Project Managers. The role holder will work closely with Project Managers, Developers, Analysts, Technical Leads and Testers within the team and recorded appropriately, ensure developers and technical colleagues have the information they need to progress projects at pace and ensure the team remains in line with the Society’s change management framework (CMF) at all times.


What the role will look like:

  • Analyse new Small Change ideas once approved, primarily focusing on the benefits, size and impact of the change initially
  • Work with sponsors and SME’s to map existing and new processes
  • Produce and oversee project documentation creation, such as project definition documents, RAIDD logs, Solution designs (in conjunction with technical colleagues) etc.
  • Work closely with Developers and technical colleagues to document technical information relating to projects undertaken within the team
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure adherence to the Society’s CMF
  • Work with Project sponsors and SME’s to understand any risks associated with projects and ensure these are appropriately mitigated, documented and approved
  • Provide support, guidance and development to the business enabling staff to make sound customer focused decisions
  • Preparation of regular MI to illustrate adherence to delivering good customer outcomes and evidencing where continuous improvement activities have driven down inefficiency
  • Once projects are delivered, support project sponsors to ensure benefits are continually tracked, evidenced and reported on to continue to demonstrate the benefits of projects being delivered

  • Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to steer and influence conversations at a senior level
  • Confident to challenge processes and procedures
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to be proactive in their approach to building internal and external relationships
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to understand and digest technical information (with support from technical colleagues) and articulate that information to non-technical colleagues (e.g. project sponsors)
  • Ability to maintain clear records of meetings and actions, ensuring that these are shared appropriately
  • Data interpretation and analysis skills
  • Ability to meet all internal reporting deadlines
