Summary

We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.

Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Change Manager.

This is a Full Time, Fixed-Term Contract until 30th September 2027.

We have 2 positions available.

The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge. We offer hybrid working where you will be based from the office or from home and remote working but you will be required to go to the offices for meetings and workshops.

What you will be doing

As our Change Manager, you will lead the change management for major programmes, coach leaders on smaller initiatives and ensure a consistent change management approach across projects. You will collaborate with and support other change managers, lead resource updates and collaborate with senior stakeholders and teams at all levels.

Who we are looking for

  • A proven track record of working in Change Management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of influencing both internal stakeholders
  • Proven facilitation skills in a change management setting
  • Excellent analytical Skills
  • Project delivery experience
