Role Description The Chef De Partie will work full time on-site at Another Place, The Machrie on the Isle of Islay, supporting the smooth operation of the hotel’s kitchen and restaurant. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard, managing a specific section of the kitchen, and ensuring consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control. The role involves assisting with menu development, mise en place, and stock management, as well as maintaining food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards. The Chef De Partie will collaborate closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, help train and support junior team members, and contribute to a positive, efficient, and guest-focused dining experience.
Qualifications
- Strong technical cooking skills with experience managing a kitchen section in a quality hotel or restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen management, with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
