Due to continued growth we have a position arise for a ‘Chemotherapy Nurse’ to join our Newcastle team, who are responsible for providing holistic one to one care within the patient’s own home.

You will be part of an ambitious team, empowering each patient by offering personalised support to them and their families. While based in Newcastle, you will travel throughout a regional area, delivering specialist treatment and making a real difference in people’s lives every day.

A typical day will see you attending between 2 - 5 patients, administering a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient's care plan. You will sustain professional standards, obtain clinical data and be an ambassador for delivering patient focused care whilst having the opportunity to build long lasting relationships with the patient, carers, stakeholders and families.

These roles typically work Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Part-time hours are considered (minimum 3 working days)

A full UK driving licence is essential as regional travel will be required to visit patients at home.

Key Skills Required:

This role requires you to be confident working autonomously to deliver/provide:

  • IV therapies
  • Venepuncture
  • Sub-cut injections (cannulation skills are advantageous)
  • Holistic clinical assessments

Your NMC pin will be required on application to evidence your registered nurse status.
