Sanctuary Personnel are currently recruiting for experienced Children’s Social Workers to join a progressive Children’s Services team in Torquay, Devon. Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Intervention Team
- Complete high-quality assessments for children and families at the front door of Children’s Services.
Court (Care Proceedings) Team
- Manage complex public law cases involving care proceedings.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and statements for court.
- Work closely with legal teams and partner agencies to support permanency planning.
- Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of children throughout the legal process.

Requirements
To be considered for this Children’s Social Worker job, you must:
- Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience working in direct employment with an English local authority Children’s Services team.
- Have strong experience in safeguarding, assessments, and statutory social work practice.
- Be available to attend the office weekly as part of a hybrid working model.
DfE Agency Compliance Requirements:
- Candidates must not have left a permanent Children’s Services role in the South West within the past 6 months.
