Take ownership. Shape bids. Deliver results that make a real impact.

You take pride in producing accurate, competitive tenders, managing risk, and influencing outcomes across complex projects. That’s exactly the kind of commercial leadership we value in our Estimators.

We’re looking for an Estimator who drives bid strategy with confidence, someone who challenges designs, proposes alternatives, and ensures every submission is commercially sound and deliverable. You’ll have autonomy, the support of experienced teams, and the freedom to make decisions that shape project success.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the estimating process and play a key part in shaping commercial outcomes across groundworks, civils, drainage, and landscaping schemes.

  • Prepare detailed and accurate tenders across groundworks, civils, drainage (including SuDS), and hard/soft landscaping.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Produce take-offs, cost plans, and final submissions to tight deadlines.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, designers, and internal teams to build robust, competitive bids.
  • Identify alternative materials, methods, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support bid strategy and pricing decisions to improve win rates and margins.
  • Utilise estimating and take-off software (e.g., On-Screen Take-Off, Excel, Word).

  • What you’ll get

    • Autonomy to manage the estimating process end-to-end with minimal supervision.
    • A role where your decisions shape bid outcomes and commercial performance.
    • Collaboration with operational, commercial, and design teams on high-value projects.
    • Opportunities to influence strategy and bring innovative ideas to complex schemes.
    • Competitive salary and benefits package reflecting your experience and impact.

    What we’re looking for

    • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator within:
      • Groundworks
      • Civils
      • Drainage / SuDS
  • Landscape construction
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts and risk.
  • Confidence producing and owning tenders from start to finish.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with wider teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
