Client Solutions Architect

As a Client Solutions Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative solutions for our most strategic clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to explore opportunities, design scalable architectures, and guide implementation that balances innovation, feasibility, and long-term value.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where collaboration, empathy, and clarity matter as much as technical expertise. From early discovery to prototyping and delivery support, you’ll ensure our platforms deliver measurable impact and aligned outcomes.

We’re looking for people who are curious, open-minded, and value teamwork, individuals who enjoy solving meaningful problems and bringing diverse perspectives to complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client engagement and solution design: Partner with clients to understand their goals, shape architectural solutions, and guide them through implementation decisions.
  • Consultative pre-sales support: Participate in early-stage discussions to evaluate feasibility, shape technical directions, and contribute to proposals alongside commercial teams.
  • Proofs of concept and prototyping: Develop prototypes to validate ideas, reduce risk, and strengthen client confidence.
  • Integration and delivery support: Collaborate with engineers to design and implement integrations, APIs, and third-party services.
  • Technical guidance and best practice: Champion quality, scalability, and reusability through architecture standards and shared learning.
  • Stakeholder communication: Build trust between technical and non-technical audiences through clear, inclusive communication.
  • Platform thinking: Apply a systems mindset to connect innovation with practical client outcomes.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Coordinate across delivery squads and partners to ensure clear sequencing, alignment, and progress visibility.
  • Client education and partnership building: Help clients make informed decisions through transparent explanation of trade-offs and options.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Our primary technology stack includes TypeScript (Node.js and React), AWS, Kubernetes, DataDog, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Kafka.

We are looking for someone who brings:

    • Strong software engineering experience (Senior Engineer level or equivalent), ideally building scalable, cloud-native systems.
    • A track record of translating business needs into clear technical architectures and delivery plans.
    • Experience with APIs, cloud solutions, modern data platforms, and integration patterns.
    • Familiarity with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), payments, order management, or customer optimisation tools.
    • The ability to explain technical ideas clearly for all audiences.
    • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset, welcoming feedback and learning from diverse perspectives.
    • Experience navigating legacy systems, compliance, or commercial constraints with empathy and clarity.
    • Confidence in collaborative problem-solving and managing complex client discussions.

We know that a person’s potential is more than the sum of their past experiences. If you meet most but not all these points, we still encourage you to apply, your unique perspective could make the difference.

    What Collinson Offers:

    • Flexible and hybrid working options
    • Work from anywhere – 8 weeks a year
    • Generous parental leave and family-friendly policies
    • Career development, mentorship, and training
    • A supportive, inclusive culture with employee resource groups and diversity initiatives.
