About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Climbing Wall Assistant to join our team at the David Ross Sports Village. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure our state-of-the-art climbing wall is safe, welcoming and well used by students, staff and the wider community.

A typical day could include delivering engaging climbing sessions and events, assisting with route setting, helping to maintain equipment and facilities, and providing a top-quality indoor climbing experience as part of the University’s Vision for Sport.

About The Team

You will work as part of the Climbing Wall team within the Department of Sport, alongside the Climbing Wall Manager, Climbing Wall Assistants, and a wide range of colleagues across University of Nottingham Sport.

A Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI - MTUK) qualification or Higher is required for the role.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Passion for climbing with at least one year of current indoor climbing experience, Climbing Wall Instructor Qualified (or higher)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work without direct supervision with good time management
  • Knowledge of indoor climbing wall Health & Safety regulations
