Are you a registered practitioner with excellent communication skills with a drive to empower a team to meet professional and organisational objectives? Join us as a Clinical Assessment & Treatment Service - Clinical Duty Manager (Band 6) with Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Services (DIUCS).

We provide a streamlined urgent care pathway across the county helping patients access the advice or treatment they need more quickly making the best use of local NHS resources.

We will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, we are dedicated to delivering a safe, responsive and patient focused service to people requiring healthcare advice and assistance. The Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Delivered through an innovative and collaborative approach with primary care and Dorset’s NHS Foundation Trusts, the service brings together NHS 111, the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service, a single point of access for professionals, urgent care treatment centres and minor injuries units. We are leading the way and establishing new and joined up ways of working right across the Dorset System and we need more clinicians to help us achieve our vision.

Shift patterns include a mix of days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays with an expectation to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

You must currently be registered with either the NMC (Nurse) or HCPC (Paramedic) and meet the personal specification requirements for this role.

You will be responsible for leading a team of clinicians, providing expert management skills to support to them whilst also ensuring a consistently safe, responsive and patient-focused service to those requiring assistance from the Integrated Urgent Care Service. You will work with other healthcare professionals to ensure the patient receives the most appropriate care.

From the Dorset St Leonard’s Hub you will be required to safely manage the Clinical call-back and as required perform telephone assessments for members of the public, manage calls from Healthcare Professionals and support IUCS Health Advisors.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced/Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
