Description

Be at the forefront of a new era in patient care

Are you a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) who wants to help us shape the future of treatment? This is your opportunity to work at the cutting edge of cannabis-based medicines, supporting patients with complex, often life-changing conditions, in a role that truly values your clinical judgement and expertise.

Join a passionate, forward-thinking team in a rapidly growing field where no two patients - or days - are the same. You’ll have real autonomy, meaningful patient impact, and the chance to influence how care is delivered, not just today but for years to come.

What is the job?

We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our London team. This is a hands-on, patient-focused role where you will play a critical part in prescribing and reviewing cannabis-based medicines for patients with complex clinical needs.

Your work will centre on delivering safe, effective and highly personalised treatment, supporting patients across a wide range of conditions.

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team, contributing not only to outstanding patient outcomes but also to the development of clinical pathways, education initiatives, and service improvements. This role offers a genuine opportunity to grow your expertise and make a lasting impact in a fast-evolving specialty.

Your time will split your time between three days on site and two days working remotely. You will provide safe, effective and personalised treatment, supporting patients with a wide range of needs.

Collaboration is central to this role. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver outstanding patient care while also contributing to the development of clinical pathways. You will be involved in patient and staff education and play an active part in driving improvements in treatment outcomes within this rapidly growing field.

What will you be doing?

  • Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
  • Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs
  • Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
  • Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
  • Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve outcomes.

What do you need?

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification
  • At least 2 years prescribing experience
  • Experience working in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of CBPM is desired not essential or willingness to undergo specialised training
  • Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings
  • Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands
  • Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex workflows

What we offer:

  • 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after one year & 30 after 2 years) + bank holidays
  • GPhC registration reimbursement
  • 5% matched pension
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • EV car scheme
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave
  • Opportunities for development and growth
