Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow in Hepatology on a 12 months fixed-term contract provisionally commencing from September 2026
This post is based in the Liver Unit at the BirminghamWomen's & Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust working under the direction of Dr Chaya Kelgeri Consultant Paediatric Hepatologist. It is designed to give the post holder the opportunity to undertake preliminary basic research, clinical research and gain experience as a sub-investigator in the clinical trials taking part in the department, while gaining skills in caring for children with liver disease pre and post-transplant.
This post joins the existing junior medical team of 3 senior trainees (ST4-6), 1 junior trainee (ST2-3) 1 International clinical fellow and 2 Physician associate working in the speciality services of the Liver Unit at Birmingham Women's & Children's Hospital. This post involves 80% research and 20% clinical duties.
