Do you enjoy working with children, young people, parents and carers from different backgrounds?
Do you want to make children’s social care the best it can be?
Are you committed to co-designing services so that they truly work for the people they are meant to support?
The Nottinghamshire Children and Families department are in an exciting time of development and are keen for children and families to help us to co-design services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Strengths-based Practice Team to lead on co-production and other engagement work across Nottinghamshire.
You must be able to engage with children, young people, parents and carers who have experience of children’s social care involvement. You will need to be able to capture and amplify their views and experiences and analyse them in a meaningful way so that they have influence.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and build relationships and connections, bringing groups of people together.
We are looking for someone who has the right experience, skills and knowledge but most of all shares our strengths-based values.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Wants to build strong relationships with people.
- Listens, learns and wants to share power by involving people as equals from the start of a piece of work.
- Promotes being fair and respectful.
- Celebrates diversity, considers accessibility and what needs to change to involve everyone.
We would welcome applications from anyone who has the relevant experience and enthusiasm. If you feel you would be suited to this role we would welcome an application from you.
In return, you will receive ongoing training, regular supervision, annual development reviews, alongside the support of motivated and friendly colleagues. You will be provided with appropriate technology and access to work remotely.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
