As our National Account Commercial Analyst, you’ll turn data into decisions, delivering the insight, pricing intelligence, and commercial models that directly impact sales, margin, and long‑term growth.
Working at the heart of a fast‑paced, collaborative commercial environment, you’ll partner with customers and internal teams across Product, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations. Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing & Commercial Support
- Develop and assess pricing strategies for some of GSF’s largest national customers.
- Set and maintain customer price files that keep us competitive while driving improved margin.
- Produce quotes and commercial models for formal tenders, helping us win major contracts.
- Build scenario models to support negotiations, including pricing and rebate proposals.
2. National Account Performance Analysis
- Analyse sales, margin and rebate performance across national customers.
- Review product mix and identify opportunities to grow sales and/or margin.
3. Business Partnering & Process Improvement
- Develop a deep understanding of the full order‑to‑cash journey—spotting opportunities to improve customer experience and remove inefficiencies.
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects that enhance customer service, meet contractual requirements and deliver performance improvements.
4. Tender Submissions
- Work with departments across the business to produce high‑quality tender responses.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or similar.
- Experience in commercial or sales analysis (ideally automotive, FMCG, retail or distribution).
- Advanced Excel skills with the confidence to manipulate large datasets.
- Strong communicator, able to simplify data, tell a story, and work directly with customers and suppliers.
- Solid commercial acumen with a strong understanding of pricing and profitability.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting national or key accounts.
- Background in pricing strategy development.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems.
