Your Role in our Mission:

The Commercial Analyst (GTM Performance) provides the insight, analysis and commercial intelligence that powers the UK go-to-market engine.


You will analyse product adoption, market trends, pricing performance, competitive behaviour, customer usage and campaign impact to help shape propositions, identify opportunities and influence commercial decision-making.


This role works at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Sales, Client Success and Revenue Intelligence to ensure our propositions are evidence-based and commercially effective. The Commercial Analyst is the analytical backbone of the GTM & Proposition function.


As Commercial Analyst, you will:

  • Provide clarity: Deliver the insight required for the business to make informed GTM and proposition decisions.
  • Drive performance: Identify opportunities to increase adoption, revenue and competitive advantage.
  • Support strategy: Empower the Head of GTM & Proposition and Proposition Managers with data, trends and forecasting.
  • Enhance execution: Measure the impact of launches, campaigns and commercial programmes.
  • Represent the customer and the market: Ensure that real behaviour, not assumptions, informs our commercial strategy.

What You’ll be Doing:

Proposition & GTM Insight

  • Analyse the performance of each proposition (platform, benefits, programmes).
  • Track adoption, usage, retention and pricing trends.
  • Provide insights that inform proposition design and evolution.


Launch & Campaign Performance

  • Evaluate the impact of GTM campaigns and product launches.
  • Work with Marketing to measure campaign contribution to pipeline.
  • Identify success drivers and areas requiring optimisation.


Market & Competitor Intelligence

  • Track competitor pricing, packaging and positioning.
  • Produce competitive summaries, win/loss themes and battlecards support.
  • Benchmark RG’s propositions against market alternatives.

  • Pricing & Commercial Analysis

    • Provide analysis of discounting trends, margin performance and pricing opportunities.
    • Partner with Finance and Revenue Intelligence to model commercial scenarios.
    • Identify margin risks and pricing inconsistencies.


    Sales & CS Performance Insight

    • Support Sales and CS with analysis on customer behaviour and segment trends.
    • Identify which propositions drive higher adoption or renewal uplift.
    • Assess the commercial impact of value-added programmes.


    Leadership Reporting & Recommendations

    • Produce weekly and monthly performance dashboards.
    • Create insight packs for the Director of Commercial Excellence.
    • Provide “so what?” analysis, turning data into actionable recommendations.


    Experience and Skills You Need in this Role:

    • Proven experience in commercial analysis, GTM analytics, revenue operations, product analytics or strategy roles.
    • Experience in SaaS, HR tech, digital platforms, benefits or marketplaces is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience working with GTM teams (Sales, CS, Product, Marketing).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI), and SQL (advantageous).
  • Analytical Excellence: Proven ability to interpret product, customer and revenue data to create insight.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understands pricing, segmentation, adoption and customer value.
  • Data Storytelling: Turns data into compelling narratives and recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, CS, Finance and RevOps.
  • Detail Orientation: Ensures accuracy and reliability across all reporting.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: Asks the right questions, identifies trends, and challenges assumptions.
