Location: Midlands. Onsite across Hub hospitals + some home based: Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield, Worcester.

Due to an internal promotion we have a new opportunity at Spire Healthcare to join us a
Business Development Director (BDD) and play a key role in driving commercial growth across our hospital network in the Midlands. You'll lead hospital business development and marketing teams, build strategic partnerships and deliver on revenue and activity targets as part of our Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

The team you will join operates within a very dynamically changing environment, providing you with the opportunity to establish and embed new ways of working collaboratively across our Hub based structure; you will cover our sites in the Midlands, across hospitals in the areas of Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield and Worcester.
Role
You will join a national team, reporting to the Group Sales & Business Development Director with key aspects of this exciting role including:
- Leading, managing and supporting the Hub Hospital sales, marketing and primary care teams
- Drive market share growth and patient demand across all payor groups
- Identifying opportunities to deliver local and central approaches to commercial delivery and support functions including our local marketing and primary care teams
- Mapping new and incremental business opportunities to deliver in-year and build future business plans for new services, local partnerships across your Hub
- Supporting your Hospital Directors to build key Consultants' practices, alongside identifying new Consultants to practice at our hospitals
- Designing and delivering new ways of working to improve and support Spire’s 'one-best way' including championing CRM/reporting systems and performance insights.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to show significant experience in business and commercial development,
this will have been gained working within the healthcare or medical sector. You are a natural leader, able to effect change in a complex multi-sited operation. You will show evidence of leading teams remotely and show the ability to flex your style to suit the various markets you will work across.
An effective team player and strong influencer, you build momentum that delivers future growth, whilst working successfully within a complex, matrix and multi-stakeholder environment.
