BFlex is Burges Salmon's innovative legal consulting platform, connecting experienced lawyers with high‑quality, flexible assignments. We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Law Consultant to support a 4‑month, full‑time cover assignment within our Commercial team.
The assignment
This is a full‑time (5 days per week), 4‑month contract, providing cover for an agreed period. The role will focus on general commercial legal support and is well suited to an experienced commercial lawyer who can step in quickly and operate with minimal supervision.

- Commercial contract drafting and negotiation
- Corporate governance support
- Intellectual property issues
- Data protection and regulatory compliance
- Providing pragmatic, high‑quality commercial legal advice
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
- Supporting stakeholders across the business on day‑to‑day commercial matters
- Significant experience in commercial law (in‑house and/or private practice)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Clear, confident communication style
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or member of the Law Society of Scotland
- A clearly defined full‑time, 4‑month assignment
