Commercial Delivery Manager - Contracts - Supplier Management


This role is responsible for the delivery of responsibilities of the business' supply chain including commercial strategy and vision by collaborating with both the business areas under this role’s responsibilities as well as the Sourcing and the Policy and Operations Divisions within Commercial.


This role will end up being aligned to a business area covering Corporate, Facilities Management or Technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Sourcing team and the Commercial Business Partner in the creation of long-term category strategies and Business Commercial strategies
  • Working with the business areas to agree priorities and support the Sourcing Commercial Business
  • Partner in building the multi-year procurement pipeline of work to ensure the team can deliver effectively
  • Assuring the management of the pipeline, alongside the Sourcing team
  • Supporting effective contract management in your area by engaging with, and advising, your business area colleagues regarding post-contract activities
  • Ensuring information flows (e.g. supplier intelligence) and communication channels between
  • Procurement and the business are maintained
  • Working with the Supplier Management team to ensure supplier and contract management best practice is implemented in line with the Bank’s framework
  • Managing the performance, risk, change, escalation and dispute for all suppliers and contracts in your portfolio and working with the business areas to ensure same happens for suppliers not directly in the portfolio but still part of the business area’s supply chain
  • Supporting efficient and consistent use of eProcurement systems, in line with the defined workflows (aligned to internal policy) where appropriate
  • Supporting the Commercial Delivery Lead with the development of commercial competencies in your business area, through regular engagement and formal training.
  • Proven track record of managing complex supply chains and suppliers, delivering innovative commercial solutions, de-risking commercial relationships and ensuring good contract and supplier health and hygiene is being followed.
  • Experience of PCR-level public procurement, including using public-sector frameworks
  • Experience of working in a client-focused environment on whole project life cycles - CIPS qualification (or equivalent experience)
